Why I Write

"...and he said unto me, write; for these words are true and faithful." - Revelation 21:5

Olympic athlete Eric Liddell said,
"I believe God made me for a purpose, but He also made me fast.
And when I run I feel His pleasure."

When I write, I feel God's pleasure.

The words from Revelation 21:5 spoke to me years ago about using my gift of writing to bring glory to God. It is now the appointed time to do this in greater measure. I have decided to launch a small business of writing excellence. I accept projects where, through writing, I can help to stir hope, ignite faith, and inspire positive action in others. As Mother Teresa urged, I seek to do "small things with great love." My services include freelance writing, copy editing, and translation.

I bring many different experiences to my writing, including more than fifteen years of service and leadership as a family physician, three of which were spent on Active Duty in the U.S. Air Force. My special interests in medicine include whole-person care, ethics, parenting, education, end-of-life care, medical missions, and psychology. I am committed to caring for the soul and ministering to the spirit while treating the body.

As a pastor's wife, I've gained tremendous insight into people and the church, and a close, personal relationship with God inspires and informs all my writing. My children keep me young through their innocence, joy, and genuine faith. They remain God's greatest gift to me. Watching my husband step fully into his ministry as pastor and hospital chaplain has been a joyful journey of trusting God, who is faithful to equip those He calls.

My writing ministry is for the glory of God. May He always remain at the center of all I do.

Here's to impacting the world for Christ!
